80ft Master Plan road for Rs 63 mn giving relief to Tirupati residents

The Municipal Corporation of Tirupati has taken on 14 roadways, one of which, meeting the critical requirements, the 80-ft Master Plan road got inaugurated on April 05, 2023. By connecting the MS Subbu Lakshmi facility with Renigunta Road close to the Hero Honda showroom region, this 1.8-km, Rs 63 trillion roads would contribute to some traffic relief in Tirupati city.

Due to improper road connectivity, this area has been underdeveloped for a long time. Residents of about a dozen colonies on the way have been struggling. The old Renigunta-Tirupati route will become less congested as a result of the new 80-foot road, which will prove to be beneficial to the neighbourhood. This road was included in the Municipal Corporation's ground-breaking decision to construct 14 master plan roads at once, and the project was completed quickly. It goes without saying that the Corporation Council authorised the master plan road construction at a cost of Rs 800 million, which has transformed life for residents on the eastern side of the city.

The other notable roads included in the master plan are a road from M S Subbu Lakshmi statue to Settipalli (southern side of the railway track), 80 feet road from Akkarampalli which will start adjacent to Brindavan Apartments opposite petrol bunk beside D Mart on Karakambadi Road, an 80 feet road from the south side of Karakambadi road covering Thimminaidu Palem and Mitturu village to Cotton Mill (South side of the Karakambadi Road), and a 100 feet road from Chennaya Gunta parallel to railway track (northern side of Renigunta Road) among others.

The 14 master plan roads' driving force, Deputy Mayor Bhumana Abhinay Reddy, stated that work was underway to complete all of the roads over the next two to three months, which will transform the appearance of the pilgrim city. According to him, the completion of master plan roads will significantly aid the local community development in the eastern part of the city.
