980 billion Delhi-Mumbai Expressway project expected by end of 2023

The Delhi-Mumbai Expressway will cut travel time from 24 to 12 hours between the two major cities. It will also shorten the distances between several cities. Additionally, it would cut the distance between Jaipur and Delhi's travel time in half, to 2.5 to 3 hours. By March of this year, a portion of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway should be open for traffic. The length of the highway is 1,380 kilometres. The Delhi-Mumbai Expressway is expected to cost a total of Rs 980 billion to complete. The main advantage will be that it will connect Noida's Jewar Airport, Jawaharlal Nehru Port, and Mumbai.

Ajmer, Kota, Chittorgarh, Udaipur, Bhopal, Ujjain, Indore, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, and Surat will also be connected. These commercial hubs would be directly connected to Mumbai and Delhi. Along this route are food courts, gas stations, eateries, etc. It would cut annual fuel consumption by 320 million litres. Around 80 lakh tonnes of cement and 12 lakh tonnes of steel would be needed for the massive project. In Haryana, this road would link the KMP and DND Sohna national highways.
