Feasibility report on widening Kalsanka Bridge in Udupi

The district administration has decided to get a feasibility report on the long-pending proposal to widen the Kalsanka Bridge at the Kalsanka Junction on the busy Udupi-Manipal Road to facilitate smooth movement of traffic. There is heavy traffic movement on the Kalsanka Junction, which includes the Kalsanka Bridge. A big bridge was built replacing a small bridge at Kalsanka Junction about six-and-a-half years ago. But the substantial increase in traffic has meant that even this bridge has to be widened.
