KMC Constructions ties up with SNC-Lavalin for highway project

KMC Constructions Ltd, a construction firm, has plans to invest Rs 1,600 crore in partnership with engineering and construction firm SNC-Lavalin to build and operate a national highway. According to managing director, Goutham Reddy, besides the financial investment KMC will also gain from SNC-Lavalin鈥檚 renowned project management skills in infrastructure projects.

The project will be executed through Rayalseema Expressway Limited (REL), a special purpose vehicle led by KMC Group to build and operate approximately 188 kms between Cuddappah and Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh. Under a 30-year concession awarded by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), REL will build four lanes and will operate the project on a build operate and transfer toll basis.
