Road work delayed on TB Road in Kottayam

In Kottayam, the slow progress of work on a stretch of TB road is becoming a major public inconvenience. The work which started on last April 6 is moving at a snail's pace. The most worrying factor for the public is the speeding KSRTC buses which are now redirected through this road, which is under construction. With the congestion on the road, the delay in the construction work in the 200 m stretch is becoming a menace for the public. The stretch has two turns bordering the PWD Rest House. Though the TB road is open only for one-way traffic, from April onwards KSRTC buses were allowed to ply through this road from TB Junction till KSRTC bus stand. The PWD authorities said that the work is expected to be completed in two months. The work got delayed during the rains. According to the supervisor of this work, construction of the retaining wall for the Guest House compound also needed time.
