Arunachal Pradesh: Projects worth Rs 440 billion to boost connectivity

Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, announced a number of National Highway (NH) projects worth Rs 44,000 crores to improve border security and connectivity in Arunachal Pradesh. These projects were announced at a review meeting of the northeastern states on the construction of National Highways (NHs) in Guwahati. The Arunachal Chief Minister, Pema Khandu, expressed gratitude to PM Modi and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, noting that the effort will provide a robust network of roads in the state, ushering in unprecedented economic prosperity.

These projects include a 1,465-km-long two-lane Frontier Highway (Rs. 273.49 billion); a 1,048-km-long inter-connectivity corridor (Rs. 157.20 billion); and a 61-km-long two-lane Brahmakund (Parshuramkund) to Chowkham highway (Rs. 9.15 billion). The Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) of these upcoming projects with a total 2,574 km is under progress.

ED Searches 13 Locations Linked to Illegal Buildings in Vasai

The Mumbai Enforcement Directorate (ED) searched thirteen locations in Vasai and Virar linked to builders involved in constructing 41 illegal buildings on a 60-acre plot earmarked for public projects.
