Bangalore Authority issues a second call for bids for the 74 km PRRl

A new bid has been released by Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) to build the 74 km Peripheral Ring Road (PRR).

On March 31, the authority issued a call for tenders for the public-private partnership-model PRR that connects Tumakuru Road and Hosur Road. However, BDA officials cancelled the tender invitation before of the pre-bidding meeting, alleging technical issues. The tender has been launched for the second time without changing the terms and conditions.

According to BDA commissioner Rajesh Gowda, the tendering procedure was abandoned because investment businesses wanted more time to research the project's viability and survey land needs. There was also uncertainty on how to determine compensation for purchasing property. Companies requested two months for the study during the pre-bid conference, but the government awarded them three. However, they did not turn in the project idea and design. The tender was scrapped, and a new one was floated with the identical content.
