One of the few interstates without toll booths will be the Bengaluru-Mysuru highway. The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) is developing a strategy to deploy Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology to collect toll fees on the recently improved national route, The Delhi-Meerut motorway is currently equipped with ANPR technology, which the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) will gradually implement on other motorways and national roads.
