DDC assesses NH144A work progress

District Development Commissioner Om Prakash Bhagat chaired a meeting to assess the progress of work on National Highway 144A (NH144A) and the Rajouri-Thanamandi-Surankote Road project. The discussions centered around resolving obstacles to ensure smooth execution of both projects. The issue concerning Atti village, which was affecting progress on the Rajouri-Thanamandi-Surankote Road project, was thoroughly deliberated upon. Om Prakash Bhagat instructed the relevant authorities to take effective measures to resolve the issue promptly.

In relation to National Highway 144A (NH144A), the DDC requested an examination of claims regarding pending compensation for structures and trees removed along the highway.

The DDC emphasized the necessity for close coordination among the departments and agencies involved in the implementation of these dual road projects. He urged the officers to collaborate closely in order to devise solutions to the identified challenges, thereby ensuring timely completion of these vital roads.

The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Defence Israr Ahmed, OC 58 RCC Ankit Uniyal, and other concerned officers.
