In a significant development, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the second stretch of the Delhi-Mumbai expressway, extending it to Gujarat on Monday, October 2nd. This inauguration heralds the completion of the Delhi-Vadodara Expressway, a monumental infrastructure project undertaken at an estimated cost of approximately Rs 11,895 crore.
The earlier road journey between Delhi and Vadodara spanned over 1,000 kilometers, necessitating a considerable travel time. With the introduction of the new expressway, the distance has been significantly reduced to 845 kilometers, promising a faster and more efficient route for commuters.
The newly constructed expressway will traverse through key locations including Sohna, Dausa, Lalsot, Sawai Madhopur, Kota, Ratlam, Dahod, and Godhra. Notably, it is an access-controlled eight-lane expressway, allowing vehicles to operate at speeds of up to 120 kilometers per hour. This development not only ensures smoother and quicker travel between Delhi and Vadodara but also enhances connectivity to several other cities, including Jaipur, Kota, Chittorgarh, Indore, Ujjain, Bhopal, and Ahmedabad.
The completion of the Delhi-Vadodara Expressway represents a significant milestone in India's infrastructure development, promising improved connectivity and more efficient transportation across regions.
