In a significant boost to urban development, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Minister of Food Supply, Environment & Industry, Government of NCT Delhi, inaugurated multiple infrastructure projects worth approximately Rs 15 million in the Rajouri Garden assembly constituency. The projects aim to address long-standing civic concerns by enhancing water supply, sanitation, and road conditions.
Key Infrastructure Developments
New Water Pipelines: Rs 30 lakh has been allocated for the installation of fresh water pipelines in Sant Nagar Extension (Lane No. 5) and the main road in Shyam Nagar Extension, ensuring a steady supply of clean drinking water and reducing contamination risks.
Sewer Line Redevelopment: A Rs 82 lakh project has been launched in Vishnu Garden and T.C Camp to upgrade the sewer system, significantly improving sanitation and minimising health hazards.
Road Improvement Initiatives: A Rs 28 lakh road enhancement project will cover six key lanes in Ward No. 96, including Teetarpur, D Block Extension, Tagore Garden, and Rajouri Garden, enhancing connectivity and drainage.

Speaking at the inauguration, Minister Sirsa highlighted the government鈥檚 dedication to infrastructure progress. 鈥淓very lane we improve, every pipeline we lay, and every road we repair brings us closer to ViksitDelhi. Clean drinking water and proper sanitation are fundamental rights, and we are committed to ensuring them for all,鈥� he stated.
