The district of Mohali will soon have a new road network due to the increase in traffic. The district administration asserts that the traffic problem would be alleviated with the new roadways. The linkage with industrial towns is the primary goal of the new roadways. For certain projects, building has already begun, and land acquisition is in progress. The NHAI, PIU-Ambala is in charge of the package-I, which departs from Ambala-IT City Chowk. The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI)-Chandigarh is in charge of the projects.
