Road construction in Diamond Harbour costs Rs 30 bn

Trinamool Congress (TMC) national general secretary and Diamond Harbour MP, Abhishek Banerjee, announced that if the Centre fails to clear the 100-day work dues for 21,75,000 families, despite the massive protest demonstration in Delhi, the state government will ensure the payments are made by June 30. Abhishek stated that if the Centre does not provide the dues within six months, the Trinamool Congress government will step in and settle all the outstanding payments. He emphasized that the state government, which allocated Rs 370 billion for facilities under 'Lakshmir Bhandar' to 20.12 million families, is capable of clearing the Rs 80o billion dues of the 100-day workers that have been withheld by the Centre. Abhishek made these remarks during a clothes distribution program in Diamond Harbour.
During the event, Abhishek highlighted the significant achievements in Diamond Harbour, mentioning that in the past nine years, roads were constructed in the area at a cost of Rs 5 billion, setting a record. He pointed out that if the costs of other projects by the Public Works Department, Irrigation Department, and Panchayat Samity were included, over Rs 300 billion had been spent on road construction in his constituency, making it a record in the country.
Without directly mentioning Union 亚博体育官网首页 Minister Amit Shah, who was in the city to inaugurate the Santosh Mitra Square Puja, Banerjee commented on the occasion, stating, "It's a victory for our culture! Political outsiders, who once spread false information about Bengal's Durga puja festivities, are here to inaugurate pandals."
While distributing clothes, Abhishek assured the residents of his constituency that starting from next year, volunteers would deliver puja clothes to their doorstep before the festival. He also encouraged them to increase the voting margin to 4 lakh in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, compared to the 3,21,000 margin in 2019.
