Tata Motors to increase its commercial vehicle prices from July 1

The largest commercial vehicle producer in India, Tata Motors, has announced an impending price increase for their range of commercial vehicles (CVs).

Depending on the specific model and version, the price rise will start to increase from July 1, 2022, ranging from 1.5 to 2.5% across the range.

The automaker told the media that while it takes extensive measures to absorb a significant portion of the increased input costs, the steep increase in overall input costs makes it imperative to pass on a residual proportion through a minimised price increase at various levels of production.

Light commercial vehicles (LCV), medium commercial vehicles (MCV), heavy commercial vehicles (HCV), and construction equipment vehicles make up Tata Motors' commercial vehicle division. Buses and trucks from Tata Motors' commercial vehicle lineup include the Prima, Intercity Coach, Tarmac Coach, Venture, Ace, and School Buses, among others.

Ace Electric, a new electric commercial vehicle from Tata Motors, was recently introduced.
