Tender process for HORC Tunnel construction to be completed by Dec

The tender process for the construction of the Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor Tunnel (HORC Tunnel) will be finished by December during the current financial year (FY).

During July, tenders will be invited for the HORC tunnel.

Haryana Rail Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (HRIDC) has discussed this in-depth with firms from the tunnel construction sector about the HORC Tunnel of length 4.69 kms, a key part of the Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor of the length of 121.742 km to be built parallel to Kundli Manesar Palwal Expressway (Western Peripheral Expressway).

The representatives of 20 organisations from tunnel construction were present at the meeting held at Haryana Bhawan.

Haryana Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited held comprehensive discussions on the latest technologies with firms from the tunnel construction sector.

Discussions were also held with the organisations about the challenges generally encountered during tunnel construction.

Rajesh Aggarwal, Managing Director, Haryana Rail Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited, told the media that the construction work of the HORC Tunnel will be finished within 30 months after the completion of the tender process.

The HORC Tunnel of length 4.69 km, is to be built in the Nuh district region of Haryana.

Former Managing Director of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Limited (DMRC) and President of Tunnel Association of India (TAI), and Principal Expert of Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor, Mr Mangu Singh, was also attending the meeting.
