9,784 Railway Bridges Sanctioned for Repairs

As of April 1, the Indian government has sanctioned repairs and rebuilding for a total of 9,784 railway bridges, according to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. This extensive initiative aims to address aging infrastructure and enhance the safety and efficiency of the rail network.
