The Union Government is targeting a 96.98 per cent operating ratio in the upcoming year. They are targeting a constant 4.5 million tonne (mt) per day, which will eventually move up to 5 mt per day. The net income of the Railways crashed to Rs 8.75 bn in the revised estimate of FY22, lower than the budgeted Rs 65.61 bn.
