Hyderabad Metro: India鈥檚 first IGBC Platinum certified network

Hyderabad鈥檚 L&T Metro Rail (L&TMRHL) has become the first metro network in India to achieve the prestigious IGBC Green Existing MRTS Platinum Certification. This recognition applies to all 57 stations across its Red, Blue, and Green Line corridors, highlighting its commitment to sustainable urban transport and leadership in green building practices.

The certification was presented during the Green Building Congress 2024 in Bengaluru, organised by the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC). L&TMRHL executives, including MD & CEO KVB Reddy and COO Sudhir Chiplunkar, received the honour from B. Thiagarajan, Chairman of IGBC, Christopher de la Cruz, CEO of the Philippine Green Building Council, and C. Shekhar Reddy, National Vice-Chairman of CII-IGBC.
