Purple Line to Ease Airport Travel The Nagole鈥揜GIA corridor aims to decongest major roadways leading to the airport, offering a faster and more efficient transit alternative for daily commuters and air travelers. A Detailed Project Report (DPR) is currently being prepared and will be submitted for State Government approval before being sent to the Central Government for final clearance.

24 Stations Planned for Seamless Connectivity The Purple Line will feature 24 stations, improving metro access across Hyderabad. The tentative list includes:

Nagole (Airport), Nagole X Rd, Alkapuri Jn, Kamineni Hospital, LB Nagar (Airport), Balapur Rd, DRDO Kanchanbagh, Owaisi Hospital, Chandrayangutta, Bandlaguda Rd, Mailardevpally, Aramghar, New High Court, Gaganpahad, Satamrai, Siddanthi, Shamshabad, Cargo, and RGIA (Rajiv Gandhi International Airport). While minor modifications may occur, the corridor is designed to reduce travel time and facilitate seamless airport transfers.

Awaiting Approvals for Construction With Hyderabad moving toward an expanded metro network, securing approvals from the state and central authorities will be crucial in determining the project's timeline.

鈥淥nce all necessary approvals are in place, work on the Purple Line will commence swiftly, pushing the city towards world-class metro connectivity,鈥 said an official from HMRL.
