MoC to boost Nagpur Zone last-mile connectivity

Mihan-SEZ and MahaMetro Corporation have signed a memorandum of cooperation (MoC) to improve last-mile connectivity within the zone in Nagpur. In order to reach the interior units within Mihan after getting off the Metro rail at Khapri station, passengers currently have to take various modes of transportation under the feeder service provided by MahaMetro. MahaMetro Corporation and Mihan-SEZ will both gain from the MoC's signing. As part of the feeder service, MahaMetro will be able to operate as many vehicles as necessary thanks to the MoC. It is not necessary to obtain new permission to increase the number of vehicles operating under the feeder service arrangement, even though this may be a multimodal service. However, vehicles are not permitted to use the SEZ as a thoroughfare and must not cross from the opposite side.

In addition, MahaMetro and Mihan-SEZ signed a second Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Construction Industry Development Council (CIDC), a Niti Ayog-established organization with members from both the private and public sectors. The signatories want to share best practices and make it easier for them to work together. Furthermore, Mihan will be introduced during the India Development Meet 2023, booked to occur in Delhi from April 10 to 12, by the CIDC.
