Nagpur Metro Phase II's foundation stone laid by Prime Minister

At the Khapri Metro Station, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for Nagpur Metro Phase II and dedicated Nagpur Metro Phase I to the nation. The premier also signalled the departure of two first-ever metro trains, one from Prajapati Nagar to Lokmanya Nagar and the other from Khapri to Automotive Square. The Nagpur Metro is being built in two phases, with Phase I costing more than Rs 86.50 billion and Phase II costing more than Rs 67 billion.

The Prime Minister travelled from Freedom Park Metro Station in Nagpur to the Khapri Metro Station using the Nagpur Metro. The Prime Minister saw the "Sapno Se Behtar" Exhibition before boarding the metro at Freedom Park Metro Station. He also conducted a tour of the Nagpur Metro Rail Project. The Prime Minister travelled alongside students, people, and government representatives after purchasing an electronic ticket at the AFC Gate.
