WR invites bids for 220 kV traction substation

Western Railway (WR) has floated a tender for supplying 220/132/55 kV traction substation of Mumbai-Ratlam and Vadodara-Ahmedabad sections. The scope of work includes designing, supplying, erection, testing and commissioning of 220/132/55 kV traction substation, sectioning post (SPs) and sub sectioning post (SSPs) (2x25 kV system Scott connected transformer) of Mumbai-Ratlam and Vadodara-Ahmedabad sections of WR.

The contract with an estimated cost of Rs 118.23 crore is to be executed under engineering, procurement and construction mode in 18 months. The due date to submit the bid is 16 May, 2024.

Namo Bharat Train to Link Gaya and Ayodhya in Six Hours

Indian Railways will launch the Namo Bharat Rapid Rail between Gaya and Ayodhya to improve regional connectivity and reduce travel time from over nine hours to around six. NCRTC Installs 200-Tonne Steel Span at Barapullah Flyover

The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has completed the installation of a two hundred-tonne steel span over the Barapullah flyover, linking Sarai Kale Khan station with the upcoming Jangpura stabling yard on the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS Corridor.The steel span comprises four girders, each forty metres long and weighing fifty tonnes.
