In a significant development for Lakshadweep's infrastructure, the first-ever high-speed craft (HSC) vessel successfully berthed at the western jetty on Amini Island, marking a major step forward in transportation and connectivity.
The release stated that before this achievement, passengers had to board the vessel using small boats, often facing rough seas and adverse weather, as the vessel could only dock outside the lagoon. This situation posed considerable challenges and risks, particularly during bad weather, making travel difficult and unsafe for the residents. However, with the completion of the new western jetty, this long-standing issue has been addressed, ensuring safer and more reliable travel for the people of Amini.
The release further described the accomplishment as not just a milestone for Amini Island but also a reflection of the BJP and Lakshadweep Administration's unwavering commitment and leadership. It noted that the long-standing demand of Amini's people and the BJP Amini District Committee had been fulfilled through the diligent efforts of the Lakshadweep Administration, led by Administrator Praful Patel. The BJP expressed pride in having been the driving force behind the project, which is expected to significantly improve the lives of Amini鈥檚 residents.
Special appreciation was extended to Lakshadweep Administrator Praful Patel and the Port Department. BJP General Secretary Siraj Koya and Yuva Morcha Lakshadweep President Adv. PM Mohammed Salih conveyed their heartfelt thanks to Patel and the Port Department for their exceptional efforts in delivering this crucial project. They highlighted that the completion of this project was a testament to the hard work and dedication of the Lakshadweep Administration, further reinforcing the BJP's capability to address the people's needs.
The release also addressed attempts by Congress and NCP (SP) to claim credit for this achievement, emphasising that their past criticisms of the administrator and BJP-led administration contradicted the reality of this accomplishment. Adv. Salih stressed that the development was the result of the BJP and Lakshadweep Administration's consistent leadership and commitment, and no efforts to downplay this fact would change the truth.
