Mahindra Logistics Limited (MLL) has leased 1.4 million sq ft of warehousing facilities at LOGOS' Luhari Logistics Estate in Delhi National Capital Region (NCR).
It represents India's largest warehousing facility in a single park.
LOGOS' will develop three grade-A warehousing facilities for MLL at Luhari Logistics Estate, according to the agreement. The initial 0.5 million sq ft facility is completed and fully operational, while the other two facilities are under development and expected to be completed by the end of December 2021 and 2022, respectively.
The new warehousing facilities will be pivotal for Mahindra's pan-India network of multi-client facilities, which manages the achievement and distribution of its clientele services.
CEO of LOGOS', Mehul Shah, said that the three warehouses would be delivered using lean construction, including offsite precast, fabrication, preassembly, and external development components. With a strong local network and regional expertise, the first warehousing facility was completed within the deadline, despite the Covid-19 challenges.
These are designed with the sustainability standards of the company, including Liquid Discharge Management and Renewable Energy, Waste Management and state-of-the-art automation.
CEO and Managing Director of Mahindra Logistics, Rampraveen Swaminathan, said that the company aims to provide integrated, customised solutions for inbound, fulfilment and warehousing networks. The company will grow its business and potential customers from all the regions.
MLL will pay rentals of $45 million for the space in over nine years. It will employ more than 2,500 employees and third-party associates in the new facilities.
LOGOS' and Mahindra Logistics are committed to sustainability. The new warehouses will use sustainability and environmental initiatives, including 20-acre Miyawaki Forest Plantation, solar power generation, distribution for warehouse and infrastructure energy provision.
