Prime Minister Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for several significant projects. Among these were the industrial area Vikram Udyogpuri in Ujjain, a multi-modal logistics park at Pithampur, and academic buildings at the Indian Institute of Technology Indore (IIT-I). During his address to the gathering, PM Modi, who was in Gwalior at the time, stated that these initiatives, particularly Vikram Udyogpuri in Ujjain and the multi-modal logistics park, would significantly boost Madhya Pradesh's industrial growth. Vikram Udyogpuri, spanning 458 hectares, had received substantial investments totaling around Rs 42 billion from 39 units. Six industries were already operational, while others were in discussions with the state government regarding their investments. Notable companies like PepsiCo India, Amul, Ashirvad Pipes, Symbiotic Life, Karnataka Antibiotics, Yashoda Linen, and Srinivas Pharma expressed interest in investing in Vikram Udyogpuri. Addressing the audience during the live program featuring PM Modi, Ujjain MP Anil Firojiya shared that the Aditya Birla Group was considering a significant investment of Rs 5,000 crore in Ujjain. He assured that he was actively engaged with industries contemplating investments in the city. Rajesh Rathod, the Executive Director of MP Industrial Development Corporation Indore, described the inauguration of Vikram Udyogpuri and the multi-modal logistics park as a historic moment. He emphasised that these industrial and logistic developments would enhance the industrial infrastructure, attracting more investments and creating employment opportunities for thousands of people. Additionally, the PM inaugurated academic buildings, student hostels under the PM-AJAY scheme, and the third phase of infrastructure development at IIT-I.
