Indore Collector Manish Singh has urged several industries to set up Effluent Water Treatment Plants (ETPs) in their units by the end of this month. Recently, Singh held a meeting with the representatives of the Association of Industries of Madhya Pradesh. He heard their difficulties faced in industrial development and gave suggestions to the relative officers to solve the problems. He said the district administration would help and cooperate in all possible ways to facilitate the operations of industries and their development. He urged all the industrialists to set up ETP plants by March-end. If the industrialists failed to do so, action would be taken by the district administration. He added that polluted water should not be discharged into the rivers by the industries. If any industry does so, legal action would be taken by sealing the industries. A panel of 40 industrialists, led by the President of the Association of Industries of Madhya Pradesh, Pramod Dafaria, met Singh and informed him of the problems faced by the plants. Dafaria urged him to solve the problem of encroachment on the entry road of Saver Road Sector E and Sector F, Madhya Pradesh and organise the left turn, reducing the road divider by a few metres for easy movement. He requested Singh to remove illegal encroachments of industrial area units developed by the International Development Association (IDA) near Scheme No 71, Chandan Nagar.
