Key projects in Gujarat unveiled by PM

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, unveiled several developmental projects in the state of Gujarat.

Modi reiterated the need to keep up with the changing times and be able to embrace the best global practices. In these terms, he lauded the farmers in Kutch as they are now exporting fruits abroad. Over the last two decades, agriculture, dairy and fisheries have prospered in Gujarat primarily because of minimum interference by the government. Gujarat focused on empowering farmers and cooperatives.

He added that Kutch has advanced in terms of embracing new-age technology and economy. These projects will create new milestones in terms of development for Kutch. Moreover, this will benefit tribals, farmers, cattle ranchers and individuals residing in the region. Today, Kutch is witnessing the fastest growth in the country as the connectivity is getting better with days passing by.

Kutch has progressed by fulfilling a simple demand of getting electricity and witnessing negative growth to its current growth rate and how the population is thriving due to the four-fold development. He lauded the Gujarat government for offering farmer-friendly schemes and mentioned how Gujarat is working on strengthening its solar energy capabilities. The projects that were announced include:

  • Automated milk processing and packing plant
  • Hybrid renewable energy park
