Union 亚博体育官网首页 Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Shri Amit Shah, inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for development works worth Rs 7.08 billion in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, and addressed a benefit distribution programme organised by the Postal Department.
In his address, Shri Shah praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi鈥檚 leadership, stating that since 2014, India has developed in line with Gujarat鈥檚 model and is on the path to becoming a global power. He added that Modi has not only driven development but also ensured national security by decisively responding to terrorist threats.
Shri Shah highlighted that while terrorist attacks were frequent before 2014, three major incidents have occurred during Modi's tenure鈥擴ri, Pulwama, and most recently, Pahalgam. He said the Modi government retaliated with surgical strikes, air strikes, and now Operation Sindoor, targeting terrorist hideouts in Pakistan.
Shri Shah said the Indian forces eliminated over 100 terrorists and destroyed nine camps, striking 100 km inside Pakistani territory, including locations in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. He noted that even after Pakistan attempted a retaliatory attack on 8 May, India's air defence system, strengthened under Modi, successfully neutralised threats without any damage to Indian soil.
He stated that on 9 May, Indian forces crippled Pakistan鈥檚 air strike capabilities, targeting 15 air bases. Shah emphasised that Operation Sindoor, named by PM Modi in honour of Indian women, would be remembered in military history for its precision, symbolism, and message of national pride.
Calling it a moment of pride for the nation, Shah praised India鈥檚 armed forces and credited Modi鈥檚 strong political resolve for transforming India鈥檚 defence response. He reaffirmed that any act of terrorism would face double the response and said the world now recognises India鈥檚 military strength and restraint.
The 亚博体育官网首页 Minister concluded by stating that Operation Sindoor is not just a counter-terror operation but a symbol of India鈥檚 cultural pride and unwavering commitment to protect its citizens.
