UIDAI Shares Aadhaar Data on Open Govt Platform

The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has begun publishing non-personal, anonymised data from its Aadhaar Dashboard on the government’s open data platform, data.gov.in.

This initiative aims to promote transparency, enable data-driven research, and support evidence-based policy-making. The datasets, released by UIDAI’s Chief Data Officer and Deputy Director General, provide aggregated insights into Aadhaar enrolment, updates, and authentication trends. These are categorised by geography, age group, and other parameters.

By making such anonymised data publicly available, UIDAI seeks to facilitate academic research, digital service innovation, and collaborative public-sector development.

The move reflects UIDAI’s commitment to secure data governance and public benefit while aligning with the broader government vision of enhancing digital inclusion, open data use, and governance efficiency.
