NTPC Mauda supplies 3,186 mt dry fly ash via rail to Rajshree Cement

In an effort to contribute towards greater utilisation of fly ash, the National Thermal Power Corp鈥檚 Mauda plant has begun sending the by-product to cement manufacturers through railway rakes. The plant recently transported 3,186 metric tonne of dry ash in 51 BCCW wagons to Rajshree Cement, a unit of Ultratech Cement at Kalburgi, Karnataka. With this, NTPC Mauda has become the first power plant of NTPC in Maharashtra to send dry fly ash through rail. During FY 2019-20, almost 2.357 mn metric tonne of fly ash was utilised for various productive purposes by NTPC Mauda. The power plant has started collaborating with cement manufacturers around the country to supply fly ash.
