Tata Power to construct 4 MWp solar project in Pune

Tata Power and Tata Motors signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) to create a 4 MWp on-site solar project at the Pune plant of Tata Motors.

The facility is anticipated to produce 5.8 million units of power overall, potentially reducing more than 10 lakh tonne of carbon emissions.

According to Tata Motors, the company has taken the necessary steps to boost the share of renewable energy used in its operations.

In FY22, the company produced 92.39 million kWh of renewable electricity for its manufacturing operations across all of its Indian plants. This represents 19.4% of the total power consumed and resulted in an energy reduction of 72,992 metric tonne of carbon dioxide equivalent and a financial saving of Rs 270 million.
