Telcon launches Zaxis 50 Hydraulic excavator, a dynamic equipment that works where others can’t...

Telco Construction Equipment Company Ltd (Telcon) offers a full range of constructive solutions, which include hydraulic excavators, backhoe loaders, wheel loaders, soil compactors, motor graders, transit mixers and dumpers. The company has the widest range of hydraulic excavators with more than 30 models starting from 2 tonne up to 800 tonne capacity, catering to mining, construction, quarrying and other applications. With this, it recently launched Zaxis 50 Hydraulic Excavator.

Cutting-edge technology

Telcon is the leader in the Indian excavator market, with a range that straddles the diverse requirements of the customer. While the Zaxis series excavators address the cutting-edge technology segment, the popular EX series is widely accepted in the market for cost effectiveness, easy maintainence and low operating costs. Telcon has always been at the forefront in providing the latest technology, features and customisation to the discerning Indian customer. And, the Zaxis series of excavators clearly exemplifies this.

Breaking barriers

With pioneering offerings in the mini excavator range, Telcon has consistently broken new barriers in the evolution of the construction equipment industry in the country. Again, in keeping with its stature as the trendsetter in the industry, the company introduces the Tata Hitachi Zaxis 50, a 5 tonne class tracked hydraulic excavator. It recognises the need to offer speedier, more efficient and cost-effective construction solutions to a nation on the cusp of rapid growth. This product is another manifestation of this recognition and is focused on the burgeoning needs of the urban and rural utility applications segment.

Applications

Zaxis 50 is a versatile machine that gives its customers an opportunity to work in compact areas where traditional machines can’t. It is designed for quality, comfort, safety, reliability and durability. The machine can be used in various rural applications like sand loading, land development, rural roads, river bed excavation, tractor trolley loading, minor excavation, drip irrigation channels, farm bund formation, rural roads, brick kilns, tree uprooting, etc. It is also used in various urban sectors like municipal applications, building foundations, construction sites, loading at crushers, mini-excavation jobs, demolition, road widening, solid waste handling, truck unloading, solar panel foundation, dump yard and tunnelling.

Exceptional features

The Tata Hitachi Zaxis 50 is powered by the noiseless, compact and efficient 35.5 HP Kubota V2203 engine. The 05 series engines are vertical, water-cooled four-cycle diesel engines. They incorporate Kubota’s foremost technologies, with Kubota’s
E-TVCS (three vortex combustion system), well-known Bosch MD type injection pump and well-balanced designs, thereby giving greater power, low fuel consumption, low vibration and quieter operations.

Various attachments like the GP/HD/sand application buckets are provided to suit various types of soil and job conditions. The 360o swing and compactness make the machine capable of digging in confined spaces, making it truly capable of going where others can’t. The machine also has a newly developed rugged box section frame to meet tough Indian applications.

Outcome

With this pocket size dynamo, the Indian construction scenario is bound to take a quantum leap into a new dimension of mechanised excavation work in utility applications and herald a new era in the industry.
