CASE Launches Vijeta to Boost Jobs in Construction Equipment

CASE Construction Equipment, a brand of CNH, introduces project Vijeta, as a part of their CSR initiative. The programme is aimed at empowering underprivileged youth by enhancing their employability skills in the heavy equipment and construction industry. 鈥榁ijeta鈥 is designed to train and certify individuals, providing them with both technical expertise and practical knowledge to excel in the sales of heavy equipment. Aligned with the Skill India Mission, the programme also contributes to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 8 and SDG 10) by fostering decent work opportunities, driving economic growth, and reducing inequalities.

Highlighting the significance of the initiative, Puneet Vidyarthi - Head of Brand Marketing, CASE Construction Equipment, APAC & India said, 鈥淎t CASE, we are deeply committed to empowering communities through our impactful Skill Development initiatives. The 鈥榁ijeta鈥 initiative, aligned with the Skill India Mission, not only equips youth with technical expertise and hands-on experience but also helps bridge a skill gap in the construction equipment sales and operations. By fostering a future-ready workforce, we hope to build a robust talent pipeline in this industry and contribute to India鈥檚 economic growth.鈥

The programme combines online and offline learning with industry exposure at sales outlets of construction equipment, primarily Backhoe Loaders. It trains them to manage sales leads and deliver persuasive pitches. Trainees will also learn to assist customers, handle finance queries, with enhanced communication and teamwork skills. The training encompasses a three-month industry experience; ensuring participants are well prepared for real-world challenges in the heavy equipment industry. The initiative also provides them with a monthly stipend during this period, enabling participants to focus on their training without financial constraints.
