Raimondi Middle East, a prominent player in the construction equipment sector, has made a significant contribution to Dubai's thriving construction landscape. They recently deployed four state-of-the-art T111 flat-top tower cranes in the dynamic Jumeirah Village Circle, one of Dubai's fastest-growing master communities. These cranes, erected in May 2023, are currently hard at work on the construction of an impressive five-storey residential building.
According to Wael Hasan, the Commercial Director of Raimondi Middle East, "We are witnessing an extraordinary surge in the construction industry in the United Arab Emirates, with substantial projects across infrastructural, residential, and mixed-use development sectors. The rental of the four flat-tops is a continuation of Raimondi's active involvement in a series of key projects across the country. We currently have more than 30 machines at work in the UAE, and this number is set to increase in the upcoming months."
These T111 tower cranes, installed onsite at their final configurations, offer impressive heights ranging from 33 meters to 48 meters, with jib lengths of 42 metres and 36 metres. All of these cutting-edge machines are fitted with the Raimondi Deluxe R16 crane cabins. They are 8-ton flat-top cranes equipped with a robust hoist gear of 30 kW, capable of lifting at a maximum speed of 100 meters per minute.
Hasan emphasised the suitability of the T111 model for the job site, stating, "Considering the contractor ? TownX Development - delivery schedule, the T111 model was well suited for the job site; offering excellent performance across both load and hoist speed." Prior to installation, a meticulous study of the site was conducted to determine the optimal crane positioning, taking into account its proximity to a primary school and occupied residential buildings. The planning also factored in onsite logistics during the commissioning phase.
Scheduled to remain on site for another 12 months, the T111 continues to be one of the best-selling models in the MENA region due to its versatility in tower height and remarkable durability.
Over the past three years, Raimondi Cranes has made a strong presence felt in the Gulf Cooperation Council, with a significant number of the manufacturer's models installed in the region, particularly in Qatar and the UAE. Hasan concluded optimistically, stating, "We are confident to close 2023 with approximately 20 additional cranes onsite in the region."
