GHMC plans to survey non-residential properties in Secunderabad

Fund-starved Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has set its eyes on non-residential properties in Secunderabad to subdue its economic crisis.

A city planner at GHMC Secunderabad zone, indicating the order by the Government of Telangana announcing 118 commercial roads in Greater Hyderabad in July, told the media that GHMC has taken up a survey.

Based on the instructions of higher-ups, special teams, including authorities from engineering and town planning wings, the survey would take place at Begumpet, Secunderabad, Musheerabad, Amberpet and Malkajgiri.

The official, quoting the government order, told the media that the impact fee for a building that has ground and one floor is 6% or Rs 300 per sq ft. For constructions exceeding a floor, 3% or Rs 150 per sq ft would be collected as an impact fee.

The survey would conclude by August 28.
