AP's real estate developers form new governing body

The Andhra Pradesh Real Estate Developers� Association has announced the new Governing Body valid for a two-year term. During its 17th Annual General Body Meeting held on March 28 P Dasharath Reddy has been elected as the new president of association and Chalapathi Rao and B Sunil Chandra Reddy as Executive vice-presidents.

The general body elected M Vijaya Sai as Secretary-General and K Gopalakrishna as Treasurer. Dasharath Reddy, president, APREDA, said in a statement that the real estate industry is in a transition period and the association has always been taking proactive steps to support and serve the builder and developers community.

The association has been playing a role in the Government formulating realty-friendly policies and putting in place a comprehensive model to serve realty and the public. It has been proactive in helping rationalisation of taxes and fees such as VAT, service tax, stamp duty and other registration charges.
