Herat Mehta, General Manager, Technoform Bautec Holding Gmbh (India), has more than 22 years of experience in the aluminium fenestration industry of doors, windows and facades. Undoubtedly, the entire industry has benefited with his contribution in aluminium system windows - the concept to have better quality windows. Mehta, however, faced a challenge while introducing and popularising the aluminium system window concept in India, especially to developers. It is challenging to identify new prospects within the industry, and Mehta has always been there at the start-up or during the initial phase of businesses in the aluminium fenestration industry, which he specialises in. Looking at the increasing demand of green buildings in India, he sees huge potential in energy saving windows in the coming years, and believes that the need of green building and low carbon foot print will push the thermally broken window business in future. Mehta expects the government to bring new norms and codes to conserve energy by using thermal break aluminium solutions. His company specialises in Thermal break (polyamide) solutions, and Mehta seems ever-ready to serve the industry in its upcoming challenges.
