Toshiba Johnson Elevators (India) establishes a Training Centre and Distribution Centre in Chennai

Toshiba Johnson Elevators (India) (TJEI) announces the opening of a Training Centre and Distribution Centre (TCDC), in Chennai. Operational since November 22, the newly established facility is built in order to further enhance the competence and expertise of field engineers for elevator sales, installation and maintenance.

According to Junichi Kyushima, Managing Director, TJEI, 鈥淲ith the establishment of the new distribution centre, we will continue to focus on quality improvement activities and provide highly reliable products to the market, with safety and quality as our top priority. We aim to further improve the efficiency of on-site work by advanced stocking and assembling parts facilities.鈥�

In addition to educational facilities, TCDC will also have a storage area for elevator components that shall be used for elevators鈥� installation and maintenance. Furthermore, TCDC will also function as a reliability centre equipped with various quality control facilities.

TJEI established TCDC in Chennai with an aim to provide most advanced engineering solutions and to continue to focus on the development of human resources and ongoing investments for engineering facilities.

TJEI, a JV of Toshiba Elevator and Building Systems Corporation and Johnson Lifts, provides world-class, energy efficient and safe vertical transportation systems in the Indian elevator and escalator market utilising the comprehensive technological infrastructure developed by Toshiba Corporation over 140 years of history.
