CRDA Approves Rs 17.32 Bn Tenders for Housing and Infra

The Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA), during its forty-seventh meeting chaired by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, approved tenders worth Rs 17.32 billion to develop key infrastructure in Amaravati鈥檚 core capital area.

Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister Ponguru Narayana announced that Rs 5.14 billion was sanctioned for completing gazetted officers鈥� towers initiated between 2014 and 2019. In addition, Rs 1.94 billion was approved for external infrastructure, Rs 5.07 billion for nine towers for non-gazetted employees, and Rs 5.17 billion for twelve new towers with associated amenities.

The CRDA also cleared Rs 5.61 billion for a 190 million-litre-per-day water treatment plant, including five years of operations and maintenance. Another Rs 4.95 billion was approved for constructing overhead water tanks.

Road extension works worth Rs 4.55 billion were sanctioned for the E-3, E-13, and E-15 corridors, including a 1.5 kilometre elevated stretch on the E-3 seed axis, to link Amaravati with the national highway.

Separately, a ministerial committee allotted land to seven institutions: fifty-five acres for a law university, fifty acres for Quantum Valley, smaller plots for the Income Tax Department, Indian Red Cross Society, Coastal Bank, and IRCTC Hotels. The Basavatarakam Cancer Institute was granted an additional six acres for a new medical college.
