MahaRERA to begin notifying "lapsed" projects from this month

Beginning this month, MahaRERA will gradually begin sending show-cause notifications to developers of projects that have been labelled "lapsed" around the state.

4,555 real estate projects have been labelled "lapsed" by the Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA). MahaRERA will initially send letters to developers who have registered with various developer organisations, then to those who are about to start construction. The initiatives that expired last year will come next. The notices will then be sent to the remainder. Within one month after receiving the letters, the developers were supposed to respond. Pune, which has the most "lapsed" projects (1,216), is followed by Mumbai (649).
