Praj and ESIIC enter into agreement to expedite bioeconomy in Egypt

Egyptian Sugar and Integrated Industries Business (ESIIC) and industrial biotech company Praj Industries marked the announcement of a partnership to advance Egypt's bioeconomy. Praj and ESIIC will jointly establish first- and second-generation ethanol projects in Egypt under this Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

In order to mainstream the bioeconomy, Praj and ESIIC will establish infrastructure, contribute to the creation of a policy framework, and raise awareness.

This collaboration to advance the bioeconomy will speed up the energy transition and help society get closer to carbon neutrality.

This collaboration will help Egypt become carbon neutral. Egypt would undoubtedly benefit from Praj's expertise in the 2G (second generation) ethanol space.
