Rajasthan Housing Board prioritises the construction of HIG homes

For the foreseeable future, the Rajasthan Housing Board will concentrate mostly on the districts in order to maintain a balance between Jaipur and other significant cities and towns in the state.

In comparison to only 1,546 projects within city borders, the board has planned to create 4,386 projects in about 18 district towns across the state. Many of the upcoming projects in the districts will fall under the HIG and premium categories.

The board has so far built over 3,000 HIGs outside of Jaipur, and every single one of them has been reserved. Even in the districts, there is a strong demand for HIG apartments. They believe that all of the upcoming projects will draw ten times as many bids as there are residential units.

Since the board's creation, it has focused on a number of Jaipur neighbourhoods, but in recent years, it has mostly focused on up-and-coming neighbourhoods like Mansarovar and Pratap Nagar.

However, the board has opted to focus on district cities and towns where there is already a high demand for complexes and opulent independent villas due to the numerous projects that are developing in these two sectors one after another.

According to the early plans, Jodhpur would have the most developments in the next 1.5 to 2 years. In total, 949 apartments will be built in the Jodhpur district, of which 146 would fall under the MIG-II category and 30 will fall under the HIG category. The highest concentration of HIG units will be found in the districts of Kishangarh (40), Beawar in the Ajmer district (45), and Bundi (61).
