Samvardhana Motherson inks MoU with Valeo for lighting solutions

On Tuesday, Samvardhana Motherson Automotive Systems Group BV, a part of Motherson Group, told the media that it signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Paris-based Valeo for lighting solutions.

As part of the MoU, Valeo鈥檚 innovative lighting systems will be merged with Motherson鈥檚 new cabin interior modules and surfaces.

Instrument panels, door panels, centre consoles and other interior trims will be redesigned completely utilising these new technologies.

Motherson Group Chairman Vivek Chaand Sehgal told the media that the partnership integrates the firm's modules and polymer products expertise with Valeo鈥檚 extensive technology experience to provide class-leading interior integrated lighting solutions to the consumers.

Maurizio Martinelli, President of Visibility Systems Business Group, Valeo Group, told the media that their association with Motherson is a concrete illustration of Valeo鈥檚 DNA: developing innovations that make mobility smarter and safer, to render both drivers and passengers a state-of-the-art travelling experience.

As of December 31, 2020, Valeo owned 20 research centres, 187 plants, 43 development centres and 15 distribution platforms and employed 1,10,300 individuals in 33 nations worldwide.
