South Delhi civic body nods 28 residential towers in Ayurvigyan Nagar

The standing committee of South Delhi Municipal Corporation approved the layout plan for the high rise residential housing project of 28 towers for Ayurvigyan Nagar redevelopment in New Delhi.

As many as 28 towers of up to 20-storey height will be established in the complex. The complex will be developed over an area of 49.4 acres.

Previously, the layout plan for this area was passed in 1983.

A senior municipal official said that out of these 28 towers, 10 towers will have house type of two flats and 11 towers type of three houses. There will be four apartment towers whose height will be somewhat less, besides these 20-storey high towers.

According to the proposal cleared by the committee, out of 49.4-acre plot area of 1,99,914 sq meter, 33,773 sq meter will be utilised for facilities, 41,219 sqm will remain as green belt, and 1,24,072 sqm will be net plot area for residential development that is 62% of the plot region.

The complex will be housing 1,240 types of two houses, 1,364 types of three units, 252 types of four housing units, 188 3-BHK housing units, and 40 four BHK units.

According to the layout plan, this will be one of the few government colonies with swimming pools. A provision of a club as a community facility spread over an area of 1,221 sq m has also been created. The Ayurvigyan Nagar redevelopment will have developed parking capacity as well.
