Telangana CM announces distribution of podu land pattas

From June 24 to 30, the Telangana government will start distributing podu land pattas to tribals after a nearly one-year-long procedure and thorough assessment. To start, four lakh acres of podu land pattas will be distributed to 1.55 lakh tribals. More than 11 lakh tribals have applied for pattas thus far.

At a review meeting with ministers and officials on Tuesday, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao declared that tribal farmers would also receive "Rythu Bandhu."

He instructed the staff to combine the data from both the existing recipients of "Rythu Bandhu" under the Recognition of Forest Rights (RoFR) programme and the new patta beneficiaries. The officials were instructed to obtain the bank account information of farmers who receive fresh pattas and deposit the 'Rythu Bandhu' sum into their accounts.

On the first day, the CM said that he will attend the event for distributing podu land pattas. If any unoccupied land is available in the community, according to KCR, pattas will be distributed to the deserving and impoverished.

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Telangana's establishment, something should be done.
