Telangana CM set to unveil Indiramma housing initiative

Revanth Reddy visited Yadagirigutta Sri Lakshminarasimha Swamy temple, marking his first visit as the chief minister. Following this, he proceeded to the temple town of Bhadrachalam, where the Indiramma Housing scheme, the fifth guarantee from the Congress election manifesto, would be launched.

He departed for Yadagirigutta from Begumpet airport via a chopper, accompanied by a couple of ministers, to offer prayers. Subsequently, he heli-hopped to Bhadrachalam, where he would visit the Seetha Ramachandra Swamy temple.

At the agriculture market committee ground in Bhadrachalam, a program was organised for the launch of the Indiramma housing scheme. The first phase of the scheme required over 200 billion, intending to construct 3,500 houses in each of the 119 assembly constituencies.

The state government had already released 30 billion for the scheme's implementation and was seeking central funds under the housing for all and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana schemes.

Under the Indiramma Indlu or Indiramma housing scheme, the state government aimed to provide a financial assistance of 5 lakhs to individuals with a piece of land for the construction of their own house. It was mandatory to follow guidelines for constructing a toilet and a kitchen.
