CEAT is making a bold entry into the high-performance and luxury vehicle tyre segment with the launch of its latest SportDrive range, incorporating cutting-edge global tyre technologies. The range introduces ZR-rated tyres, Calm Technology for noise reduction, and Run-Flat Technology (RFT) to Indian roads.
ZR-Rated Tyres for High-Speed Performance
CEAT鈥檚 ZR-rated tyres cater to the increasing demand for high-performance vehicles in India, offering stability and grip at speeds exceeding 220鈥�240 km/h. Designed with advanced dual-layer high-denier nylon overlays and high-torque-resistant polyester fabric, these tyres ensure durability and superior road contact. Available in premium sizes such as 315/40ZR21, 275/45ZR21, and 285/45ZR21, these tyres undergo rigorous testing, including performance validation on Germany鈥檚 Autobahns, to meet global benchmarks.
Calm Technology: A Quieter Drive
CEAT鈥檚 Calm Technology is engineered to reduce in-cabin noise, enhancing the driving experience for luxury sedans and SUVs. By integrating specialised foam inserts that absorb vibrations and noise, the technology reduces cabin sound levels by up to six decibels. Already adopted in the Tata Punch EV, this innovation is set to extend to a broader range of high-end vehicles, ensuring a refined and quiet ride across diverse road conditions.
Run-Flat Technology (RFT): Safety Meets Convenience
CEAT becomes the first Indian manufacturer to introduce Run-Flat Technology (RFT), allowing luxury sedans to continue driving after a puncture, eliminating the need for an immediate tyre change. Developed and tested in extreme conditions in Finland and Germany, these durable tyres are currently available in 225/40RF18 and 225/55RF17, with more variants to follow.
