PM Modi inaugurates Rs 21,000 cr developmental projects in Vadodara

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated various developmental projects worth Rs 21,000 crores in Gujarat's Vadodara during his visit.

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel was also present during the event. Before this, PM Modi inaugurated the Mahakali Temple at Pavagadh in the Panchmahals district for the first time after it was renovated. At the event, PM performed a puja at the temple before hoisting 鈥榙hwaja鈥 at full mast atop the shrine after decades.

PM Modi met his mother Hiraba Modi on her birthday, as she entered the 100th year of her life on June 18. She lives with the prime minister's younger brother Pankaj Modi at Raysan village on the outskirts of Gandhinagar in Gujarat. The Raysan village falls under the Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation.

Hatkeshwar Mahadev Temple in Vadnagar has arranged various religious programmes for the long life and health of the prime minister's Modi mother.

The Shaktipeeth situated on the Pavagadh peak is one of the 52 Shaktipeeths, and it is a famous tourist place in Gujarat. The ancient temple of Maa Kali is situated on the Pavagadh hill. This site was included in the World Heritage list by the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) in 2004. The temple renovation is a part of a larger project to create Pavagadh as a pilgrimage and tourist place.

The authorities have decided to close the temple to the public for two days from Thursday afternoon to organise for the PM's visit and security grounds.

When Hiraba is entering her 100th year, the authorities have decided to name an 80 m road in the Raysan area as Pujya Hiraba Marg so that the next generation takes motivation from her life, Gandhinagar Mayor Hitesh Makwana said.
