PM Modi will inaugurate railway projects worth over Rs 16k cr

PM Narendra Modi will soon inaugurate railway projects worth Rs 16,369 crore and lay the foundation stone of the new building of the National Rail and Transportation Institute (NRTI), rechanging name to Bharatiya Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (BGSV).

He will also launch the CM鈥� Matrushakti Yojana from Vadodara鈥檚 Leprosy Ground.

Modi will inaugurate the Kalika Mata temple premises, recently renovated at Rs 121 crore, under Gujarat Pavitra Yatradham Vikas Board.

It includes a campus with a capacity for over 2,000 devotees, widening of the stairway, gold plating of the kalash, garbhagriha and the shikhara done at Rs 7.5 crore and installation of elevators. Building a dormitory for visitors at Rs 12 crore and a dining hall with a capacity to serve meals to 400 devotees is undergoing.

Modi will also lay the foundation stone of the new, modern building of the BGSV in Vadodara that will come up near the Pratap Vilas Palace.

According to a statement, Modi will inaugurate five railway projects of Rs 10,746 crore and lay foundation stones for 13 projects of Rs 5,620 crore.

Moreover, he will inaugurate the Rs 7250 crore Palanpur-Madar dedicated freight corridor and flag-off of the Botad-Ahmedabad passenger train and Lunidhar-Deesa and Palanpur-Radhanpur passenger trains.

He will lay the foundation stone for the locomotive repair depot in Gandhidham and railway redevelopment projects of Surat, Udhna, Somnath, and Sabarmati.

PM Modi will also perform the ground-breaking ceremony for the gauge conversion of railway lines between Vijapur-Ambaliyasan, Nadiad-Petlad, Kadi-Katosan, Aadraj Moti-Vijapur, Jambusar-Samni, Petlad-Bhadran and Himmatnagar-Khedbrahma through virtual mode.

Lastly, he will launch the CM Matrushakti Yojana (MMY), which will provide women with nutritious meals for 1,000 days starting from the first trimester for better health of both mothers and newborns.
