Genesys bags record-breaking contract

Genesys International, one of the leading homegrown players in mapping technology, has secured a ground-breaking deal with Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), marking a significant validation of the Genesys New India Map stack. The contract, valued at Rs 1.55 billion marks a significant milestone in advanced mapping technology being used for multiple use cases. Under this agreement, it will provide the development, implementation, and upkeep of a highly accurate 3D city model and map stack for Mumbai and also update the same for 3years the project aims to provide an elaborate and comprehensive overview of the city's landscape to enable precise planning and collaboration among various stakeholders

Mumbai is set to witness a huge transformation in its infrastructure and advanced planning that a Digital twin map stack provides will go a long way in the city's governance.

Sajid Malik, CMD, Genesys International Corporation, said, "This contract marks a significant milestone for both Genesys International and the digital transformation of Mumbai. The project entails the creation of a unified mapping platform, incorporating various layers such as the 3D reality mesh model, base map with advanced features and street imaging, Digital Surface Model (DSM), Digital Terrain Model (DTM) along with a change detection map. These tools will empower municipal departments, government agencies, and citizens to make informed decisions that contribute to the city's growth.

The initiative holds promise beyond traditional mapping. By harnessing geospatial intelligence, Genesys aims to revolutionise urban planning, infrastructure development and emergency response systems in Mumbai. The project aligns with the city's vision of becoming a 'smart city鈥� equipped with advanced technologies for efficient governance and citizen engagement.

Genesys has embarked on a path breaking new India map stack which it has also partnered with the Survey of India, India's premier mapping agency.
